Teddie (and any other Glover, Graves, or Palmers on the list!)

No, you don't know me, but there may be a connection. Charles Peyton Glover married Clarissa Palmer,
brother William Glover married Jane Jett Graves, sister Mariah Glover married John (Jack) Pinkard Graves.
Clarissa (Palmer) Glover's mother was Catherine (Graves) Palmer, wife of John Henry Palmer, sister to Jack
Graves and Jane Jett (Graves) Glover. Clarissa's brother, Henry Laramie Palmer was my 2ggrandfather. They
all settled in Marion County, around what became Mt. Angel. Some of the boys went to eastern Oregon
later, discovering gold, founding Spokane, Washington, mule skinning, etc.

I am working on a history of the Glover, Graves and Palmer families that came from Missouri (mostly
Lincoln and Montgomery counties), to Oregon and California.

One of the cousins (age 89) is the person I was visiting on my sunny visit to Portland a couple of weeks
ago, and I am gathering material as I go. I just copied Mabel (Glover) Root's copious notes, and am
endeavoring to put them in order. She wrote a manuscript on the Philip Glover family about 40 years ago,
and of course, didn't have access to the censuses we have, nor some of the other sources, so it has been
fun "updating" some of the information.

If you are from one of these families, I'd love to work with you also. I don't know where your Margaret
Elizabeth Trosper may fit in there. I take it that she married a Glover? I should mention that the
parents of the above mentioned Glover children were Philip Glover and Sarah Koontz. These Glovers came out
of Port Tobacco, Maryland.

Pat
