Uh, People - any one can look up a name, phone number and in most cases an
address in the telephone book listings. Then go to the maps of the area, also in
the phone directory and see exactly how to get to a house or business. Also,
the city directories list name, address and even occupation of a person. This
has been going on since the city directories bagan in the mid 1880's and the
later advent of the phone directory. The only way to have a smidgen of privacy
from this sort of thing is to have an unlisted phone number.

One good thing about it is the help genealogists are able to get from the
city directories with their addresses and occupation of our ancestors.
