[or-roots] Showers vs light rain

This actually has nothing to do with either except it is a rain story; my
parents had a genealogy prof when they were finishing their degree work in
thier fifties who said he had originally moved to Oregon right after WWII,
but left when he saw a woman in her front yard in a row boat trying to find
her well so she could get a bucket of water.

He told that story with a straight face, but I always thought it was a tall
tale.
