  Dan, I am afraid I don't know much myself since I only qualify as a descendant of Early Pioneers - those that arrived after 1870. My grgr grandmother and gr grandfather Cooper came to Jackson Co. with other family members about 1874/

  What I do know is a descendant of any pioneer prior to 1870 is eligible for SDOP. You must have proof of their pioneer status, i.e. be able to show they had a land claim, etc.

  I am sure someone else on this list would be happy to give you all of the details.
