[or-roots] genealogical gold mine

David and all,

I wondered about that, which was perhaps eight years ago? And, as I understood it, the GFO managed to
"renew" the copyright, which had never been clarified. I also understood (what do I know, anyhow?) that
the db was removed voluntarily. I recall the original e-mails about this, but couldn't find them when I
looked. I do recall writing to Ancestry with displeasure.

Regardless, all are part of the same organization, and I wonder if they are paying royalties to GFO? The
material is on HQ, and Ancestry.com, and I suppose, Genealogy.com, which is probably going to disappear
soon.

Connie? Are you there? Care to comment and clarify? Is this a problem?

Pat (in Tucson)

I don't think GFO and Connie Lentzen are going to be happy with this
since it's copyrighted and it isn't supposed to be available online by
ProQuest. These books are registered in Copyright Office.

Ancestry.com had it and it was removed under threat of copyright lawsuit.
