one of the counties for very early hoskins is yamhill co. where they are listed as hiskins. then they moved to the freewater area. now called milton-freewater. you would have to look at a map of oregon to find the county. i am sure someone here can tell you. i am sure i have the parents of the hoskins lady that married w.t. shaw in that area. would have to look. yesterday i was going thru some of the books i have and ran across a hoskins in very early new england. can't remember his name. was doing some of the research that others have requested. i also have more books that are not listed on my list. one is the family of harriman. the rest, i think, are research tools of cities and states. i wish i was better so i could be of more help. sorry.

What county? I have a lot on the Hoskins that are in my family, but need to know the county to verify if it is the same ones.

In 1875 listed as legal voters on the census for that year were the names of M. B. Root and James H. Hoskins.
Root was 35 and Hoskins was 42. They were cattlemen.
Anyone know who they were and their families?
Diane
