Thats interesting because my grandmother that married the Wood in Oregon originally came from Fairfax, Missouri area.  Her maiden name was Peterson.  We have a long history in Missouri but Oregon History was very thin so I needed to brush it up.

My Paternal Grandmother was Woods--but they lived in Douglas Co. Missouri.
