Wow, thats interesting because I also was in yellowstone as a child, a week before the quake.  We were out on a boat in a very bad storm and the waves were hitting us hard.  Also, during the week before the quake, the mud pots or whatever they are called, dropped drastically as a sign of what was to come the next week.
