So have you gotten a copy of his death certificate from the Oregon State

Thanks Barbara,
Yes, Jesse Safley & my g-grandfather William Lydall & his son Archie Fred
Lydall are on same page of same 1930 census U.S. Census > 1930 United States
Federal Census > Oregon > Linn > Center > District 13. So I should be
looking in West Halsey Precinct, too.
Every bit of information can add up to enough to help my search go much
better, Thanks!
William Lydall is my grandmother's father & his son Archie is my
grandmother's half brother, different mothers. I believe my grandfather
William is buried in Linn Co. OR. Now I can begin my search better.. Thanks
to every ones help!
Thanks! Nancy

At least one family [Safley, Jesse] that was in Center, Linn, Oregon in 1930
was in West Halsey Precinct, Linn, Oregon on the 1920 census. [Central Linn
High School is just out of Halsey]

Hi Bob,
Thanks! ancestry may be wrong on this, they are a some times.
U.S. Census > 1930 United States Federal Census > Oregon > Linn > Center >
District 13
It could be Central, Linn Co., OR. Yes, that helps a lot, I will search
under that name.
I'm researching this also because this could be where my g-grandfather
William Lydall (born 1867 in Michigan) may be buried there as he lived there
in the 1930 census & the Archie Fred Lydall I found in todays Obit. was
William's son & brother to my Grandma.
Thanks! Nancy

Nancy: The "Oregon Geographic Names" has no Center, Linn Co. Oregon.
However, there is a Central, Linn Co. Oregon. Listed. It was one of the
first post offices in what is now Linn, Co. it was established June 13,
1852, Joel Ketchum was postmaster. It was discontinued April 19, 1861.
Early maps show the place about nine miles east of Albany and a little
south.
Hope this helps you.

Hi,
I just today found my grandmother's brother: Archie Fred Lydall in today's
Obits (neat!) & who was born in Wallowa, Oregon, So then I knew he had to be
my Lydall family. So I kept on doing my research & I have found him in the
1930 census records as living in Center, Linn Co., Oregon in 1930.
My question is... does any one know where Center is located in Linn Co.?
Thanks! Nancy
