I had asked about it. It was the route...not the railroad...it came through
La Grande up thru Pendleton...wondered if perhaps it originated from
Fruitland, ID?

A while back someone aske abut a railroad named Fruitland express or some
such, I tried to run down that name and came up empty, now am wondering if
Fruitland Express was the name of the route, rather than railroad.

you can see a photo of a Fruitland Oregon School Photo.
The problem with this theory is that Fruitland is just east of Salem and her
Kin in question were in the NE corner of the state or SE Wash.
