Anyone who has ever strolled through a cemetery has certainly
wondered
about those who lie below the earth, represented now only by a stone
with
engraving that gives his or her name, birth and death dates, and
perhaps a
simple sentiment. Who was this person when he lived? What did she
do?
Where did she live in Hillsboro? What did he do for a living?

Questions like these and many more will be answered with historical
vignettes, when some of the "permanent residents" will make their
appearance, telling their stories. Local actors and historians in
authentic period costumes will portray a rich variety of Hillsboro
personages, based on their extensive research into the lives of each
one.

The past will come to life with these recreations of individual
lives,
giving participants the opportunity to learn about the past, the
people
who lived in the community, and to reconnect with a bygone era.
