  If you are in San Diego, there is a little house now painted cow black and
  white down near the civic center.  That little house at one time belonged 
  to McCartney, Ryan, and Daly, attorneys, and as one of their counsel I
  spent many hours there.  It was within walking distance of the the Worker's
  Compensation Appeals Board.

    I forget the date, but it happened in 1961 (between February and November).

    I was crossing the Ross Island bridge on my way to work at Tektronix in Beaverton.  At the east end of the bridge I saw the very official looking sign: "Beware Of Trolls".

    Long story short: the sign was removed, but was replaced and removed again.  This made the TV news and it was only then that I realized that I had been had.  :-)

    And then about 10 years later somebody put a "Clearence 75 Feet" on one of the very high bridges over I-5 here in San Diego.  Some jerk with no sence of humor had that sign removed.  Bummer.
