You will find that most Last Wills from
many a county read the same.  Canada allows notarization.  In 34 years of practice I came across a number of
foriegn wills and it was interesting to 
see the same terms used as in ours.

  I KNOW that you know that answer to this.  Does the phrase "Last Will and TESTAMENT" ring a bell?  It's the Scot's version of Probate Register...sort of.  Possibly the cross reference you mention would be to a previous death of a relative from which the decedant had inherited.
