OK, so I have census information for Thomas, but now I want to know what
happened in between census dates.  1870 Census shows Thomas at home with
parents in Nebraska.  The next info is his marriage in Dayton, Yamhill,
Oregon in 1876 to Matilda Forrest.
Now I want to know when he came to Oregon.  Should I look for land deed
transfers?  The lived next to the Lamberts who had adopted Matilda after she
lost her parents.
What about local Newspapers?
What about tax records or poll taxes?  Were they done every year?  What
about voter records?
