In that case, does anyone know if there was an 1885 or 1895 census?
None of my folks were counted in the 1900 census and that makes a really
big gap between the 1880 and 1900.
Thanks
Dale

"Oregon did have state censuses, annual school and territorial censuses
from 1841 to 1859. There were subsequent censuses taken at different
intervals. The 1905 census was probably the last one. To date 4 county
censuses had been located: Baker, Marion, Linn and Lane.
Also Oregon had military censuses taken. Kept at the county courthouses.
(I'm not talking about the well known Union Veterans census.)
