I have probably mentioned this in here before, but when I was a kid my folks
used to hunt east of the mountans every year, either ducks or deer and
sometimes both as well as one antelope hunt and a chukar/deer hunt I
remember vividly cause it was teh first year I hunted with a rifle in my
hands (always was a dog before that)

The piont of this is I have often fantasized having a home in some of the
wild Juniper forest country I saw as a kid, I just love the openness and
vistas and little hidden coves.

Talking about college field trips reminds me of one I took in a botany
class. The prof had talked about he and the grad students that set up the
trip the previous weekend running around in cutoffs and tee shirts, first
night of our trip it snowed four inches, and half the gang didn't even take
coats.

Hello!!! this is April in Oregon, the temperature could be as low as 12
degrees in the Willamette valley in April, so I DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT A
COAT that time of year.
