[or-roots] more whining about census FACTS

Hi Les,
Sometimes I do so very much wish that facts were there, neat and tidy,
waiting for me to find them to fit them neatly into my puzzle. But getting
back to reality...sometimes I have to set it all down for a while and come
back later. =)

Subject: [or-roots] more whining about census FACTS

Just spent a good portion of the day chasing one of my paternal something or
other great Uncles in New York, from 1860 to 1900 he is indexed as Omner,
Martin, Minard and Mynard, but except for the last one I'm positive I have
the right guy, his wife Reba in 1860 and Rhoda in the next two with a
consistent birth date of about 1825 to 1830 in NY all of a sudden in 1900 is
Julie b. 1834 in Vermont. Married 51 years! The capper is next door is son
Charles and wife Amia ma 29 years who I find in 1880 with one child wife
listed as Amy and Charles claims his parents both born in NY, but in 1900
his mom in Vermont.

So did Julie/Reba/Rhoda lie early or late, or is she two people. I am
inclined to the latter, but then why the whopper about length of
marriage????

I had a life then I discovered genealogy.
