Thanks again, Sue....I probably have most of that. John could be William's father, but with the DNA studies....there seems to be a big split. Very interesting. Just wish I could find something about this Robert. Some of the family moved to Texas when the migration of the 1849-1850's happened. And family rumor says he went to Texas or Arizona. Have not located anything in the area where Robert Seniors brother lived in Texas. Diane

This pedigree goes back much further than William. I could print it out and mail it to you. I am not sure how easy it would be to follow because it covers all lines and it doesn't seem to be proven because they mention alternate possibilities for William's father.

Thanks Sue-------just wish I could find Robert E. L. Elder somewhere besides in the census records! Actually part of these were Bryant's. Christina was a widow of John Bryant before she wed Elder. He had kids, she had kids and they had kids! I don't have Ancestry, so was unable to locate his pedigree---but probably know it anyway. FAther Robert, Grandfather William.
