Marsha's Maude's Maiden name is Bradley and so is mine. I do have the divorce record for my Maude Bradley and Christian Bullard, and it says that they were married on Aug. 1, 1908 in Clackamas County, OR and it talks about my Grandpa Thurman, which was their Son. So, Maude clearly married C. Bullard on Aug. 1, 1908 not Marsha's Maude. I don't know if my Maude had married before 1908 or not. If she did, that would have made her 16 yrs. old and the marriage wouldn't have lasted very long - maybe a yr. if that. I have a sneaking feeling that there may even be 3 different Maude Bradleys, so I can see how this can all be pretty confusing.

I'm not sure why the Oregon marriages database doesn't show both the bride and grooms name. So I did a search only using the date and two couples were married that date in Multnomah county, neither of them being Christian Bullard.

Did you get the divorce file from Oregon historical records, that should contain the marriage date of the couple who are getting divorced.

If I understood Marsha's post her's was Maude Saxe Bradley -- was Saxe a middle name or another married name. This one in Mulnomah County is Maude S. Bradley.

      Marsha -

The 1930 Census for John A. Cabak and Maude Bradley clearly says that my Maude Bradley was married at age 17, not to John at age 17 obviously because her two Bullard children were living with them. Anyhow, that would have made her married at 1908, so I really do think that my Maude Bradley was married to C. Bullard in 1908 in Clackamas Co. not yours. She had divorced Christian Bullard May 5, 1911, so I think Christian is who C. Bullard was. My Maude was b: Jan. 15, 1891 in Oregon City, Clackamas Co., OR. Her Parents were William W. Bradley and Nancy Melissa Strait.
