Thanks Pat! I didn't know Esmeralda was the county for Goldfield. I have
these old True west , Wild west, Old frontier magazines that I read & love,
several of them have good stories on the Earps. I read your web sites, they
were great reading about the OK corral & museum.

On the old whiskey bottles nobody would know the difference if you put
Wyatt Earp gave this bottle to his brother Virgil a few days before his
death" except some of us Or-roots members.. we won't tell <G>

Thanks! Nancy

Nancy, Goldfield is in Esmeralda County, NV. So, you were right, and so was
whoever said Esmeralda <G>.
Here's something interesting: http://dmla.clan.lib.nv
us/docs/NSLA/archives/myth/myth06.htm
I have a couple of old whiskey bottles that my Mom and I dug out of the town
dump in Goldfield, back when you could do such things. Maybe I should label
one as "Wyatt Earp gave this bottle to his brother Virgil a few days before
his death" or something, make a little money to keep up with this hobby.
Pat (in Tucson -- where Wyatt and Doc were getting revenge: http://www

Virgil W. Earp is buried at the Riverview Cemetery west end of the Sellwood
Bridge over looking the Willamette River, Portland Oregon..along with his
daughter Nellie Jane Earp.
He died October 19, 1905 in Esmeraldo NV. (I always read it was Goldfield
 NV. he died)

I was told as a little girl by my grandmother I was related to him, so ever
since I have been fascinated by the Earps.
I have not found the connection yet though.
