Bonjour,

I can't remember where it is, but there IS a web site where one can register a change of email address.

I think we all have that problem, but not so much as a prolific researcher like Linda Lou.

I changed my addy from "Kith-n-Kin at att.net" to "Kith-n-Kin at Cox.net" because I'm going to
eventually close out the att account. After all, it is costing me. ATT is a dial-up account, so I have to
have another server (Cox) to have cable. Not willing to pay a "subscription" both to ATT and Cox.

My hope is that where I have not changed the address, someone will think to "google" "kith-n-kin" and come
up with the right address. Actually, I just did a test of this, and the only "hits" (other than various
"kith 'n kin" sites) were e-mails from to or from me, to rootsweb lists and this list.

So, I guess a good message here also is this. When you "change your e-mail address" with the "list-mom",
also send an e-mail to the list saying:

"Kith-n-kin at att.net

is now

Kith-n-Kin at cox.net"

That way, searching may be more productive. Don't we all complain about MaryJo at ratyear.com who left a
message and now I can't find her? Now, if she just said "Mary Jo is now at dogyear.com . . .so much
easier. <G>

The good thing is that someone else may find that same obscure reference, and find you! and be just the
person with all the information! :)
That is exactly why I stay with AOL in spite of all the bad comments.
I occasionally get a response to something I posted in 1997 or 1998.
If I change my email address, I would never get those.
