  For Karen:

This is a long shot, but have you ever heard your uncle mention a Corchoran. My mother's
half sister went with a Don Corchoran, whose father was a SP man with his left thumb amputed
in an link and pin accident on the SP in Portland. Many years later Don gave me a ride on
an SP Switcher one evening on a chance encounter outside Portland.

It doesn't sound like our Baileys are connected. Mine start in PA & go to Indiana, Ohio & Arkansas. I have a James A. Bailey born July 1869 whos parents were Daniel Bailey born Feb 1831 & Susana Moore born August 9, 1831. I haven't been able to find his spouse or where
he died. Daniel & Susan each were born in Ohio & died in St. Joseph, Indiana.

Do you have any birth dates? Just an approximate year might help.

My 10th great grandfather was James Bailey, came over from England around
1640 and settled in Rowley, MA, not far from Salem. Down the line one of them
went to the Worcester area, then one in Illinois. My great grandfather was in
Kansas where my grandfather and his brother were born, Leavenworth. Grandfather
and Uncle came on to Oregon. The uncle, John, stayed in Portland and worked
for the Union Pacific Railroad while Grandpa moved on to Roseburg where he was
a postman for a zillion years. He was an Odd Fellow and my Grandmother belonged
to the Rebekkah Lodge. Don't recall what year it was but she was President of the
Rebekkas for Oregon and they travelled all (then) 48 states.

If you have any birth dates in general it would help.

         Glen
