What has happened is you are receiving email from a genealogy list, if you
didn't go to the web site looking for stuff, I have no idea why you are on
the list, but if you go to;

http://sosinet.sos.state.or.us/mailman/listinfo/or-roots

 at bottom of page is an edit options box which if you don't happend to have
you sign up notice email with your password, you will have to get that and
you can get if by putting your email addy in that box.

then you will get a page where you can have your password emailed and then
use that to get off the list.
