I have come to a blank wall in trying to locate some immigration information on my Grandfather and Grandmother who came to the United States in 1888(?) from Poland. Their names are: Michael and Josephine Safranski. What I do have is that he may be from Warsaw and she may have been born in Krakow. I believe they first went to Illinois and then to Minnesota. I do not have access to any Census Records but it seems as though they should be on 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records. I do not know all the info that are on the census forms but possibly there could be some clues. I have been pretty successful on the Verbout side of the family because I still have relatives in The Netherlands and my wife's parents. Her Mother came from Croatia and her Father came from Slovenia. Visited her relatives in Croatia during the Bosnian war and obtained some information but have not been very successful obtaining info on her Father.
        Hope you can help.
                                       Thanks, Bernie
