Charlotte Elizabeth Dixon

Charlotte Elizabeth Dixon 90, formerly of toledo, died March 13, 2006 of
heart failure.

She was born January 29, 1916 in Portland to Charles and Mamie Litchfield,
formerly of Yaquina. Her maternal and paternal great-grandparents were
1840's pioneers arriving in Oregon by wagon train. Her brother was Newport
attorney Kenneth Litchfield who died in 2000.

After graduating from Willamette University, Dixon taught at Eddyville High
School. She married Lorne T, Dixon of Toledo in 1940 and was a homemaker
there for 46 years. She was a memeber of Pacific Chapter Eastern Star and
St. John's Epiwscopal church in Toledo.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1986. She lived in Yachats for five
years before moving to Portland in 1991.

She is survived by her two sons, Dr. James Dixon of Bremerton, Wash., and
Bruce Dixon of Portland; four grandchildren; and four great grand children

A private family graveside service will be held.
