My gt.gt. Henry and Elizabeth Hewitt and gt.gt.gt. Daniel and Mary Matheny  
came in 1843 with the great migration. !000 people and 119 wagons depending on  
who counted them. 
Uncle Adam Hewitt came in 1842 and is on the monument at Champoeg.
gt.gt.gt.gt. Isaiah Cooper came in 1845/46 when he stole his neighbors 10  
year old daughter and ran away to Oregon. ( long story I will post it later. You 
 go to jail for that now. HUh!!
