I agree: some of the small towns in the delta have their own
language.

When they had the great flood of 1938 the Grand Bell Ringer
of E Clampus Vitus got a train load of presents for the
unfortunates.

  You people ever been on the Sacramento Delta in California thousands of reclaimed acres of pure peat moss.  It is one of the most productive food growing regions in the world. It could have been left as swamp land if the Sierra club had its way. Now what would we do with all those little mosquitos anyway. You can't eat them.
