Hi Ann & Carroll,

I live in St. Helens, Oregon. Yes, I guess the most obvious place to search
would be the P O in Milwaukie Oregon. I did think of that, but I'm hoping
for clues of where else to look. I will also try Carroll's idea too of the
Polk City Directory  & Oregon State Library, good Ideas!

You might try the Polk City Directory for the date and place. Look at both a
year before and a year after as well as the year in question. The Oegon
State Library (not the Archives) has most of the city directories on film
and are easy to use. 
 
Not knowing where you live you may have to ask for a lookup by a volunteer.
Many on here will do that for you.

Does anyone know how to go about finding a modern day address for an older
1940  Rt. & Box address?
