I have information to share of a RICHEY family beginning with James RICHEY 
from Northern Ireland, father of three sons Robert, Samuel and Joseph.

James RICHEY married Isabella STEWART after his first wife's death and had 
one son Stuart RICHEY (1755-1806) He came to the United States in 1790 and 
settled in Pennsylvania, then on to Ohio then to Kentucky.

Stuart RICHEY married  Mary IRWIN . They had seven children, James, 
Elizabeth (WEIR), Stephen,
John,, Mary (MOORE), Ellenor (MARTIN)  and William,

First born James (1783- ) married Nancy BROWNING of Kentucky. They had eight 
children Mary Ann, Stuart, Sarah, Eliza, Caleb, James, Emily, Frances. 
James married Nancy BROWNING (sister to his first wife) and has children 
Lafayette, Susannah, Martha, Caroline, and Amanda


I have further information on Caleb RICHEY (1816-1875)  who married  Alice 
BOOTH (1824-1878) and their children Sarah (1846) James (1848) Mirandi 
(1850) Mary Angeline (born Mult Co 1855), Alice Josephine (born Mult Co 
1857), Gus H (Born Mult Co 1860), Rose (born Mult Co 1863),Clara Louise 
(born Mult Co 1866)

Alice J married John Francis STEVENS and were parents of Laura and Lawrence 
STEVENS.

Lawrence STEVENS was father of Wayne STEVENS.

In the spring of 1852 Stuart RICHEY and his brother Caleb and their 
brother-in-law James Akin  (Eliza was his wife) left their home in Iowa and 
emigrated to Oregon.

I have posted some of this information before however thought there might be 
some new subscribers who may have an interest in some of the RICHEY family 
that came to Oregon.
