Darlene;
That name seems familiar, I don't know if I made the connection when I was
doing my searching or not though. I find using ancestry.com censuses very
frustrating and clunky, the only advantage is they are indexed on all
individuals instead of just head of household like Heritage Quest.
But yes I am fairly sure that is his brother, I can't remember if he
mentioned more than one sibling though and the fact he is listed as born abt
1902 might have made me think he didnt' fit, but they could have been twins,
Lester was pretty tight lipped about his family. I don't know if their was a
reason or he just didn't happen to talk about them when I was around.
Cousing Phoebe says his parents were very nice people and one of Lester's
favorite songs to sing goes "Oh! my Pa Pa, to me he was so wonderful!" Now
that doesn't sound to me like someone who had issues with his parents.
This whole family has been a thorn to get genealogy info out of, finally an
old friend of theirs who had been badgering them for information and had
connected to one of the grandkids who was interested in genealogy too got
ahold of me and he has filled me in pretty well on the descendants, but he
too had no info on the parents.
I need to badger the grandkids some more, I presented Lester's Oldest
daughter a copy of "Letters to Grandma" several years ago and she was
"supposed" to reciprocate with some genealogy info, but so far no luck.
Thanks for the effort, I assume the parents aren't in the Francis T
household?

Les,
Do you know if Francis T Wade, age 28 in 1930, b. MN was a brother of your
Lester? He's on E 31st Street North.

>> That's the rub Darlene, I don't have a first name, I am hoping someone
who can navigate the 1930 Census better than I could can start with Lester
Sherwood and figure out how to go around the corner to 31st street. I
have talked to the great grandchildren, and one of the grandchildren and
Phoebe Cuz, and none of them knew his or her given name, the were just
gramps or
some such, if you asked most of the grandchildren what Lester's name was
you would get blank looks and "bampa" for an answer.
