I would explore the possibility of Laura May being a Reese.  Russell's
mother in law Sylvia Reese was living with them in 1930.

Margaret Coonan's mother was Ellen. [They are in Portland]

In Coos county along with Russell and Laura are:

The widow Bertha Keiser
her mother in law the widow Mabel Keiser
her adopted son Frank
her adopted daughter Catherine
