I guess not penny, the location surrounded by asterisks was in your post ;-}
Or you can get them here;
All the Oregon Donation Land Claims are available on microfilm at the Oregon
State Archives in Salem. You can go there and look at them in person, or
order copies from their web site.
OKAY now I am confused, at the Oregon archives they seem to refer you to BLM
for DLC info?
Oregon archives page with a lot of info about land records, if you are
interested in land records you should read this too;
http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/land.html
then when you get to the part about DLC's you will find this link;
http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/
which take you to the BLM site for searching their onlline data base of land
claims, this will only give you the particulars of where the claim was and
whose name is on it and when the paper work was was filed and some stuff
like that, unless you get lucky and hit a person whose actual document BLM
has scanned and placed on the web site. So far I have only hit one of them,
ironically I think it was for a patent I already had the original of. And
not a DLC. Non of my kind got here that early, at least not direct
ancestors.
I have the DLC book on my computer in digital format and can give you a
lookup for the bare bones info from the genealogy book if you would like.

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention, but where do you find the DLC records?

You can get copies of the
Donation Land Claim [information],
they have them on microfilm at the
* * * * *
* *Gen Forum in Portland.
* * * * *
They are usually 6 to 10 pages or more long...at least the ones I have were.
They give lots of good info sometimes.
