Speaking of the Fish surname:  Do you  know of George Fish's daughter, Doris, 
who married Kenneth Lyle?   Their (living) son was born in 1942 in Bend, 
Oregon.  They divorced while  the child was small.  Doris married another man & 
may have lived in the  Portland area.  Kenneth remarried & had two more sons, 
but we know  about the Lyle's.  It's Doris Fish Lyle _____ for whom we want more 
 information.

Speaking of names in Oregon, does anyone know if "Darkey  Creek" just east of
Waldport is named for a family or the more obvious  origin. I seem to
remember a discussion that would lead me to think that  at least it may have
been named for an early settler the community is  actually proud of, instead
of the usual way.

I was sure starteled  to find out the name "Stonecypher" down Langlois way
was a family name  and not from some native rock carving.
