tried to open the link told me not available, What volume of Bancroft's?,
I have volume XXIX volume 1 history of Oregon but it only goes up to 1849.
I am guessing it is probably volume two of the history of Oregon.

On a slightly different subject, have you seen Bancroft’s article?

I know, quite often I overlook things in my research, the book I picked
up on a whim did not even look at it until getting back to my motel that
evening and then seen the photo of the Diamond Ranch, had stopped at the
Owyee Historical Society Museum on the way to Silver City last Tuesday only
the second time their and Silver City, I have been working with Sandy Flory
the Oregon Historian on Albert Hugh Robie my Great Grandfather and his
history for several years, he was selling the Diamond Ranch to Pete French
when he died, without a will I might add.
Mildretta's descendents are known and supposedly none of the photos or
manuscripts were in her house when she passed away.

Well, I figured you had asked, but sometimes I overlook the simplest
answer in favor of great problems <G>.
Are her descendants known? Has anyone asked them? It may all still be
in a storage room somewhere.
Oh, I see, she died in 1987. Now, that’s a tough one.

The Silver City Museum Was closed after the death of Mildretta, It has
recently been moved to a Museum at Grandview, Idaho and I have someone
checking their, also have other museums being checked, Idaho Historical
society has also been checked, The publisher thinks that possibly everything
was thown out by her descendents.

Hope listers may be able to help.
This past week I was in Idaho and picked up a book at the Owyhee
County Historical Society,
Titled "Owyhee Cattlemen 1878-1978 100 years in the Saddle" By
Mildretta Adams Publisher "Owyhee Publishing" Homedale Idaho, the book had a
photo of my Great Grandfathers Ranch at Diamond Oregon near Burns, (A. H.
Robie Diamond Ranch).
The Publisher and the Owyhee County Historical Society have no idea
what happened to the photos after Mildretta passed away and many people
includeing myself have inquired about copies of some of the photos in the
book, all would like to know what happened to the photos or if someone has
them, I have sent this same message on the Idaho Genweb, if anyone knows
about these photos contact the publisher or me, it would be a big loss to
history and genealogy if these photos are lost.
Mildretta was a Author and Curator of the Silver City Idaho Museum
until her death.
