In the 1910 census they were still living in Minnesota.  Frank Grimm was listed as a lumber grader.  Do you have a copy of the 1910 census?
In the 1930 census, Alfred F. Grimm, son of Frank J. and Pauline Grimm, was 15 years old.  So it was probably his son that went to school with you 1957-1961.  If you do not have a copy of the 1930 census, I could send it to you in PDF format.  Frank Grimm was listed as a lumber grader at the saw mill.  Daughter, Martha Grimm, was listed as a cashier with the telephone company.

If Frank was killed in a log truck accident, there is quite likely a newspaper story as well as an obituary on him.

I checked the Oregon State Archives but did not find any information on your Grimms in Klamath Falls.
