Thanks Les.
I Googled before I read your message and discovered that Uncle Ralph's name
was not on the patent, only Carl F. Gerlinger, the owner of the company.
That same thing happened to my first husband, Frank Gates, when he invented
the combination themometer-hygrometer-barometer when he worked for
Bendix-Friez in Baltimore back in the 1950s and his name was listed at the
bottom of the list on the patent after the Presideent, Vice President, Dept
Supervisor and Head of the Department. He did get a $25 bonus for his
efforts. Imagine the roaylties that comany has racked up over the years.
I did find three other patents that Uncle Ralph did get credit for, so it
was not a waste of time looking.
