Camp 3 sounds like one of the Smith-Powers camps that were outside Powers, Oregon. Some of these camps were mobile camps and moved from place to place via the railroad the company owned. If you haven't talked to the Coos County Logging Museum in Myrtle Point, please make a point of doing so. They have a lot of photos of the camps, names of the personnel, and other items which may be a link someone is missing. They would also appreciate any copies of photos, especially identified ones, so that they can help others piece their stories together. For more information on how to contact museum personnel, I have a page with their basic information at http://www.coquillevalley.org/loggingmuseum.htm. They also have a collection of obituaries for those killed in the woods.
