I went to their website and found out about the Pioneer certificates but
couldn't find out how to get one. Do you just tell them a name and send
$10.00? That somehow doesn't seem right.
Dale

Hey Les!

Got the dust off the NY trip, found and talked to relatives of Daniel R.
HIP HIP Horrray...you of course was big help. August 12 and 13 will be
in
Eugene. We have to do an eye ball check okay?

I was told my relatives had all died off.....in Eugene, nope they are
PhD
chemists and went to school with the likes of guys named Nike at the U
of O,
ran with him on the track team in the 50s. Blew me away, to say the
least.
Of course a brag ... hey they are mine!

My cousins living so to protect identity will be left at that. By the
way a
word of caution to all of us genealogists and historian buffs. Identity
theft. Banks love things like mothers maiden name etc. So I always
cover
my folks with "living" . I love my family, and the last thing want to
see
is a crime against any of them. Been doing this now over decade and not
one
problem but use caution. Others have been scammed, and that would
really
make me want to call out the home guard, you don't want to know about
them.
Smile.

Next after safety is does Oregon have Pioneer Certificates? We should
start
one if not. Illinois does and I have a Pioneer Cert from them by the
Illinois Genealogy Society. It was hard work getting all the death
certs
almost harder than joining SAR. But it is nice to add and they keep it
forever in a vault for future. This also goes into database that
captures
the true history, not some recount a hundred years after they forgot the
real history.

So Les whatcha doing in August and on those days?
Paul Fay Christian
