Have you ever came across the surnames Lydall, Downing. They lived near Enterprise & Wallowa, OR. My grandmother was a Lydall and her 1st husband was George Orin Downing of Wallowa, OR.

  I'll go to their site first. I have a short list of books from the oregon.gov site for Wallowa County history books but the folks there couldn't help as to whether or not my family was actually included in them. I'd prefer to buy at the local level when at all possible, which seems to be my little bookstore in town for some titles - will save on shipping & handling.
