Our evidence (we have somewhat recently (compared to his DoD) picked up
"Grandpa's" cremains) is that there are/were 3000 or so, as his canister
was numbered in the 3K range. I do not believe the number of cremated
reburials is large, and that most of the cremains are from original
cremations.

My wife made an appointment and just went down and picked them up -- the
old "canister" was encased in a nice durable plastic container. Fits on
a bookshelf with some VHS tapes just fine (until we can figure out what
to do with "him").

It would seem, looking at the burials, that a number of earlier OSH
burials occurred at the Bethany Pioneer Cemetery, Silverton, Marion, OR,
or at least that is how I recall my impression. Could just be that a
lot of "crazy" folks lived in Silverton? <grin>

Now, before y'all jump on me for that last comment, Dad graduated from
Silverton High School ...
