What I'm desperately trying to find is who were James McCubbins parents? James's wife China's maiden name? and where James McCubbins is buried? It's upsetting as I can usually find everybody else in the family but not this one on my gggGrandparents. James died in North Salem Sept. 6 1877 & must be buried close somewhere you would think. I have his Estate papers/Will, it does not give me a clue..

    Can you look up and see if anything on STEVENS (Hanson, Sarah etc.), MCCUBBINS (James, Samuel, Zachariah, Andrew, Nancy etc.) Nancy McCubbins married John FOLCK in your book? Thanks!!

      Just got back from rainy Oregon yesterday afternoon - it started raining here in Tucson about midnight. Guess I should travel up there more - I took them sun, they gave me rain!!!

       

      If it is of help to anyone, I just received a gift of the Book of Remembrance of Marion County, Oregon, Pioneers - 1840-1860 by Sarah Hunt Steeves. (Berncliff Press, Portland, 1927)

       

      I'll be glad to look up anyone of interest to my fellow OR-rooters. 

       

      Mostly, it should be very helpful in my "history of T06S-R01W" pioneers - which I'll start working on again soon...
