You really can't put trust in the LDS information.  They do not ask for any
documentation of any kind.  Census, State records and newspapers are a
treasure trove.

I agree 100%.
As in miss interpreted hearing and records, yes I might think the same.
Had not the Julia - Walter and marriage date been clues I would have passed 
on that one too.
   I will run a ( find) in search for certain facts and see how many Matheny

come up.
