Divorce Records are something that it is not required to be recorded with the State, so in many cases the record would only be in the county in which the divorce is filed, I found this out because my wife has been divorced twice before we were married.

Yes, I do have the marriage record but have never found a divorce record.  When she divorced her secong husband she gave her marriage date of the first husband (Noah).  I have to think they really were divorced since they both remarried multiple times but have never found the divorce. 
Maybe they were both bigamists :)

Noah and my grandmother got divorced (supposedly) and in 1920 he was living with his father in California.  In 1910 he was living with his parents and older brother in Washington. 
He and my grandmother got married in Walla Walla because that was close to Milton-Freewater where she was living at the time. 
One of these days I am going to go up to Portland and go to the cemetery and see if I can find anything.  Noah married twice more and he eventually died in 1965.
