HI Darlene
Gee, I was busy making goodies in the kitchen, thanks for popping up.
Also in Grants Pass was the passing of Carrel B family, Lee Matney and others.
I wonder - pausing, just how many - Julia A Cooper, Matney, Rowes there are. Several as I recall. Once, I found a file some place, said she was buried at Cooper hollow in the yard. John was buried just down the rd in his yard, not uncommon for people back then to be buried in yards.
But hard to track em down.
I would wonder ( who ) paid for that stone.
I have the same problem with Henry Rogers , no one knows who paid for the burial or the stone.
Dan

Julia's sister was Artemicia, married Jesse Jennings in 1853 (his second wife) in Marion Co., OR. Dan is right that finding her willl not add to information regarding Julia unless there is an obituary for Artemicia. Artemicia died in Grants Pass in 1906; Jesse died in Grants Pass in 1903. They are both buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Grants Pass. They were the parents of Alwilda Jennings, who married my grand-uncle, and through my research into these folks I have not found anything regarding Julia other than what is available on census records.
Now to add more confusion: The Find A Grave web site has a memorial posted for a Julia Ann Rowe buried in the Brownsville Pioneer Cemetery in Linn County. Trouble is, it shows unknown for both the birth & death information, leading me to believe that there is a grave marker with only the name.
