[or-roots] Oregon Biography Index

I know that Oregon Genealogical Society library in Eugene has some of these 
 books and probably the Forum in Portland does, too. The secondary book 
sellers  are good places to look for these books, but if they are available 
they are  usually quite expensive.

The Oregon Biography Index is an  index of 47 historical volumes that were 
devoted to biographies of early  Oregonians.  It is alphabetical by surname 
and lists all biography  sources found for a particular individual.  It can 
be downloaded in pdf  form from the University of Oregon at the following
