[or-roots] Cemetery North East of Heppner

I was on the right track, go east out of Hepner on route 74 (statee hwy?) The cemetery is just before you would turn on to Butter Creek Road. I didn't see the icon when I was looking there on GE earlier.

USA Photo maps is on the fritz today so I can't check if it is on topo map, but I think that iw where most of GE info comes from.

Looking on Google Earth there is a Pleasant Point Cemetery about 12.4 miles as the crow flies ENE of Hepner, but it is a bit more than four miles off of Hwy 74 on Little Butter Creek road and GE says you should have gone through Lexington which is NW of Hepner to get there and that is nowhere near 74. There is a Sand Hollow cemetery about 12 miles NE of Hepner that is on the preferred route, but is about three miles off of the main road; 1.5 mile S on Sand Hollow and left about 1.8 on Barclay Rd. I note it is possible to catch Sand Hollow road by going east a little ways from Hepner; perhaps you were not following the state highways? Okay on further review I think Pleasant Point is probably where you were, if you took a left on Butter Creek about 72 miles from Walla Walla and then right onto Little Butter creek road you would have gone right past that Cemetery.

FInda grave has is a picture, and  70 names but no Doughtery, Sand Hollow has 19 and again no Doughtery

Could have been.  There was no name on the cemetery and I was traveling towards Heppner from Walla Walla.  I will look at the map I have at home to see if this is the name of the road.  I did go to findagrave and there were a lot of Dougherty's buried in several cemeteries in the vicinity.  I have a really good picture of the stone which says, "mother and father" and I could shoot myself for not going inside the gate and taking more pictures but I am afraid of snakes and there were a lot of holes around so I stayed on the path.
