[or-roots] 1940 census

Dale,

 

California currently sits at 43% indexed for familysearch.org.  This week I’ve gotten batches for San Bernardino, San Diego, and San Francisco to index.  The indexing is progressing- slower than I wish; but based on size 43% is substantial.

Wish someone was doing that for California, but it will probably take years.

Looks like 1940 for Oregon is now fully searchable.  It is amazing what can be accomplished by the efforts of volunteers!
