Thank you for the offer, Glen, very nice of you. All my Oregon mysteries have been solved. I listed my Oregon surnames in case someone connects.
My biggest brick wall is a grtx3 grandfather. Lewis Jefferson Christie/Christian, m. Lavina Frazier in Greencastle Indiana, d. Darlington, MO. I've never been able to find his parents. I have a hunch but can't find anything to prove it. There is a rumor of his genealogy being recorded in a bible by a granddaughter whose married name was Boner. She died young and the bible stayed with her husband's family and I've never been able to find anyone who knows what happened to it. I tried using a researcher in Greencastle, but all she ever did was look in the census and other records I already had. Not a good experience. Maybe someday I will make it there to search for myself.
Thanks for listening, and thanks again for your kind offer.
Linda
PS Hope you are recovered from your fall. I fell and twisted my ankle one year, so I don't take walks in the snow anymore. Too bad, I used to enjoy it.
