Oral History Workshop

The Benton County Historical Society and the Lane County Historical
Society will co-sponsor an oral history workshop scheduled for Monday,
September 18, 2006, 9 AM -3 PM. The workshop will be held at the Museum
in Philomath. Reservations are now being accepted.

Noted historian Donna Sinclair will lead the workshop. Ms. Sinclair is
currently the Oral Historian for the Center for Columbia River Project
(CCRH). She has worked as the Special Collections Coordinator, Oral
History, for the Oregon Historical Society. For the last four years she
has been a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Portland State University,
as the Oral History Capstone Instructor where she teaches community
based oral history and research courses. In addition she currently
manages a national alumni oral history project for Reed College in
Portland. She specializes in implementing community oral history
projects.

Ms. Sinclair is the co-founder of the Northwest History Network,
presently Secretary of the NW Oral History Association, and serves on
the Board of Directors of the U.S. District Court of Oregon Historical
Society.

Workshop spaces are limited. Registration fee includes lunch: $20 for
Society Members and $30 for non-Members. Contact the Museum at 929-6230,
