Basics of Historic Cemetery Preservation Workshop
Klamath Falls & Merrill, Oregon

This workshop will provide groups and individuals responsible for or
concerned with an old cemetery with knowledge of the main issues of
cemetery care.

Workshop begins at 8:00 a.m. (City Administration Building, 500
Klamath
Avenue (Klamath Ave. at S. 5th Street) and wraps up at 3:30 p.m. 

The morning session will provide an overview of historic cemetery
preservation and care (presented by Sally Donovan, Donovan &
Associates), followed by on site instruction at the Merrill Cemetery
with hands-on experience in resetting markers and doing basic repairs
on
broken stones. Each participant will receive a packet of information
on
important aspects of cemetery preservation.

A $10 fee for the workshop is payable to the City of Klamath Falls,
Parks and Recreation Department. Register by email to marye at CVC.net,

Don't forget sturdy shoes, appropriate weather gear and strong gloves.
Lunch is provided.
